🍀 The 20th Meeting of the Financial Stability and Development Council (FSDC)was held in New Delhi, under the Chairmanship of the Union Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman. 🍀 In a big boost to India-Bangladesh cooperation, theGovernment of India has decided to show BTV World, a channel owned by Bangladesh TV, on the Doordarshan Free Dish which will be available for the viewers of Doordarshan in our country. 

🍀 The World Health Organization (WHO) launched a global campaign named “AWaRe” urging governments to adopt a tool to reduce the spread of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), adverse events and costs.

🍀 An Indian engineer Nitesh Kumar Jangir, whose low-cost neonatal breathing device has saved the lives of new-born babies across small towns of India, has won the 2019 Commonwealth Secretary-General’s Innovation for Sustainable Development Award in London.🍀 IIT-Bombay has been ranked India’s best university for the second year in a row, gaining a global ranking of 152 in the QS World University Rankings for 2020.

🍀 The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) released the list of India’s Top 10 States for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), the world’s most widely used green building rating system, Maharashtra bagged the top slot with 334 LEED-certified green buildings.

🍀 Sri Lanka’s first satellite ‘Ravana-1’, designed and developed by two local engineers, was successfully launched into orbit from the International Space Station along with two other BIRDS 3 satellites from Japan and Nepal.

🍀 World Sickle Cell Awareness Day is celebrated on June 19th of each year to raise the public awareness about the sickle cell disease and its treatment methods.

🍀 World Sauntering Day is celebrated on June 19 every year.
